Ipsos is one of the most lively places in Corfu island. With a Beach Strip of discos, bars, nightclubs, and a huge choice of eateries .The long promenade directly next to the sparkling Ionian Sea can be easily walked along, it is roughly 2 km in length.
The name is indicative of its location on the slopes of Mount Pantokrator.
It lies against the dramatic backdrop of the hills of the North East of Corfu on the left and to your right across the sea to Corfu Town. Just a drive along the northeast coast road are the ever-popular resorts of Barbati, Nissaki, Agni Bay, Kalami and Kassiopi
Ipsos runs parallel to the beach and many typical tourist shops align its path. The road and pavements have been recently renovated giving the area a sense of tidiness. This major mix of beach, road, shops, discos, etc, has made Ipsos very popular with the younger generation, so, it can become rather busy and noisy, at night, especially in the high summer season.
Accommodation is abundant, from stately imposing Private Villas nestling in the hillsides, to simple more affordable apartment accommodation, just some hundred meters away from the hustle and bustle of the main road and the beach.
Obviously, there is no shortage of nightlife or places to stop for a evening meal or just a snack, but in the daytime, the beach area plays host to many types of entertainment including an inflatable water pleasure park. It is a great, shallow, familyfriendly beach known for its various water sports, including water ski-ing, paragliding, wakeboarding and a host of local boat trips and self drive motor boat hire.

Ipsos extended and sandy beach is equipped with sun beds and umbrellas, two large, purpose-built jetties offering water sports facilities (i.e. ringos, banana boats, paragliding and water skiing), plus boat hire, paddle boats or boat trips to the North of the island.

Hire a car or a bike and explore the adjacent traditional villages driving through the narrow hilly roads of Mount Pantokrator.

Ipsos has many varieties when it comes to food, the bars, cafes and taverns. Other than offering local and Greek food, delicious Chinese or Italian cuisine.
In addition to all this, Ipsos is well known for its night life. Music bars, discos, tavernas with Greek dancing and bistros with surprising events can cover everyone's taste. Parting until the first daylight is a must, even though night's duration is never enough to enjoy every single amazing moment of this exceptional night life.
