General Information
Kalafatis is one of the earliest established beaches, on a beautiful bay, famous to wind surfers who enjoy the fresh offshore breeze making this water sport so popular. It also known as one of the most uncrowded beach on Mykonos.
Accommodation of all types is available here, together with a variety of water sports including Jet Ski, Waterski,wakeboard and scuba diving.
Many small traditional tavernas and restaurants can also be found in this area, often specializing in locally caught seafood dishes.
Kalafatis is a family beach that runs into the sands at Tsarina. A lovely bay with white sands spreading out on either side of a narrow rocky headland.
A large hotel is located behind the beach, but for once the design and architecture sucessfully blends in well with the scenery.
Crystalline waters make for fine swimming and snorkeling and you can catch boats here for Dragonisi an islet off the east coast with its'many caves, some of which are said to be populated by the rare monk seal.
