Agathi House is a typical traditional apartment, centrally located in a popular neighbourhood of Gaios, Paxos, with air-conditioning and a lovely patio, very close to the local amenities and the beaches of Gianas (300 m) and Plakes (650 m).

Agathi lies on the upper level of a village house, where the owners discreetly live underneath, and consists of two bedrooms with one bathroom. This charming property is big enough for a family or party of 4 persons.

Layout

The house features an open plan space with a fully equipped kitchen, a small balcony with views over the neighbourhood, one double, one twin bedroom, and a shower room.

The most charming part of the property is the access patio, equipped with a table and chairs, ideal for those who wish to dine al fresco or unwind in peace.

Location

Agathi House is located in the centre of Gaios, very close to all local amenities, and a car is not needed.

General Information

Gaios is the capital of Paxos Island and the largest port, serving large ferries, hydrofoils and sea taxis from Corfu and Igoumenitsa.

As the largest town on the island, Gaios is relatively small and quaint, with Venetian architecture, a labyrinth of side streets, and pedestrian squares along the seafront. Restaurants and snack bars are scattered throughout the town, catering to all tastes and demands.

The surrounding olive groves offer a high standard of local Greek cuisine, a must-try for every visitor. Local amenities include a post office, banks, a chemist, a doctor's surgery, gift shops, a high school, jewellery and handmade craft shops, as well as supermarkets, bakeries, and butchers.

Gaios has a range of waterfront bars, ranging from quiet traditional coffee places to livelier bars playing a variety of music. Taxis are limited in number, and the bus service is regular, and it enables you to reach the resorts of Loggos and Lakka or smaller neighbourhoods.

Gaios is one of the most popular and cosmopolitan resorts in the Mediterranean. Hundreds of VIPs visit Gaios or reside in their private properties every summer, and finding a place to stay during the peak season can be challenging.

We highly recommend this house

Nous recommandons cette maison et sa petite cours abritée de l'agitation de la ville. Agathi notre hôte est venue à notre rencontre nous saluer, et a été très à l'écoute des petites demandes que nous avons pu avoir. Très appréciable d'avoir un lave linge sur place, et une vue sur la mer et le port. Rien à redire on recommande pour un séjour à Gaios, la plus grande ville de l'île. (EN: We highly recommend this house and its small courtyard, a peaceful haven away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Our host, Agathi, greeted us warmly and was very attentive to our small requests. Having a washing machine on-site was a real plus, as was the view of the sea and the port. We have absolutely no complaints and highly recommend it for a stay in Gaios, the largest city on the island.)
