(EN: We have 4 adults and 2 children aged 10 and 16. Beautiful location - that's what we chose - with a beautiful view everywhere from the house. Lying in the infinity pool and enjoying the view of Kalkan was wonderful. We had a few questions before arrival, and the host was super quick to respond with clear and concrete answers. Good and spacious villa, where we never felt pressured. The villa is located at the top of a VERY steep road, where it requires a strong car to drive up. If you don't have that, you can stop halfway up the road at the lowest of the 3 villas - and then there are 129 steps up. Apart from that, such a wonderful stay. Both host and villa are highly recommended.)

Kalkan is a Mediterranean fishing village located on the turquoise coast of Turkey, not touched as yet by the mass tourism.
This charming village nestles around a historic harbour sheltered at the foot of the towering Mountain of Taurus, overlooking a bay with small islands floating upon the glittering sea.
Kalkan is a very peaceful place with unique atmosphere, narrow streets twisting down to the harbour and remains to the high preference of repeated visitors who are looking to something more than a <
The narrow twisted streets are lined with small local specialities shops and restaurants established in historic buildings, with hanging Ottoman – Greek carved timber balconies and decorated with thick coloured bougainvillea.
Resort’s main economy is tourism and the locals put much pride and effort into town’s historic preservation, which is resulting into Kalkan protecting its distinctive Ottoman – Greek architecture and its very strict building codes.
In opposition to the well-known “Kalkan Style” architecture, the numerous restaurants contribute to the special appearance of the village and good dining remains a way of life up today for the locals and the visitors. For this reason Kalkan is considered as the place with the highest number of restaurants and bars per inhabitant on the Turkish coast.
The locals sincerely love to know their guests and for this reason visitors are warmly welcomed on a universal friendliness along with the characteristic Turkish hospitality. (Do not hesitate to accept one of the many flower shaped cups of tea you will be offered whilst you are wondering along Kalkan’s narrow streets.
The population is a mixture of Istanbul Turks and Turks from other districts, who have turned Kalkan into their own home with their own small family businesses and feel really proud of what they have created in this charming part of Mediterranean.
