A nice size one bedroom apartment with a long balcony that provides a great view over the Gaios waterways. A large comfortable bed with good quality linen. The linen, towels and bins were changed every three days.

Avgi Apartment One is a lovely property, which nestles in one of the most picturesque areas of Gaios Paxos, on an elevated point, overlooking St. Nicholas island at the entrance of Paxos port, all the way up to the Greek Mainland. This one-bedroom apartment is spacious for a family of three. It is conveniently located, accessed by a small driveway, air-conditioned and just a short walk (via a short track) from Gaios central square, the beach, restaurants and the local amenities. It is only a few meters away from the famous Venetian Cistern (Sterna) on the slops of a hill and at the back of Agii Anargiri church. Layout Avgi Apartment One consists of a spacious lounge/dining area with a sofa bed that can be converted into a third bed, a fully fitted kitchen, shower room, a double bedroom and a front balcony with stunning views over the bay. There is a communal patio area and a courtyard at the entrance of the building. General Information

Gaios is the capital of Paxos Island and the largest port, serving large ferries, hydrofoils and sea taxis from Corfu and Igoumenitsa.

As the largest town on the island, Gaios is relatively small and quaint, with Venetian architecture, a labyrinth of side streets, and pedestrian squares along the seafront. Restaurants and snack bars are scattered throughout the town, catering to all tastes and demands.

The surrounding olive groves offer a high standard of local Greek cuisine, a must-try for every visitor. Local amenities include a post office, banks, a chemist, a doctor's surgery, gift shops, a high school, jewellery and handmade craft shops, as well as supermarkets, bakeries, and butchers.

Gaios has a range of waterfront bars, ranging from quiet traditional coffee places to livelier bars playing a variety of music. Taxis are limited in number, and the bus service is regular, and it enables you to reach the resorts of Loggos and Lakka or smaller neighbourhoods.

Gaios is one of the most popular and cosmopolitan resorts in the Mediterranean. Hundreds of VIPs visit Gaios or reside in their private properties every summer, and finding a place to stay during the peak season can be challenging.

Location was great and the view from the balcony overlooking the harbour was an endless source of entertainment with the boats dicing for a position on the dock. Loved our stay here.
