Lovely Villa located on an idyllic island.We were 3 adult couples that came to Paxos for a relatives wedding. This Villa was perfect with 3 en-suite bedrooms, well equipped kitchen, private outdoor spaces for all fresco dining , barbecue area and a superb pool. There is a beach just below the Villa 50m away which was very private. We hired 2 quad bikes and a motor scooter to explore the island and the numerous beach bars.We are already planning a return visit next year hopefully to Villa Sophia.Thanks Sofonios, we had a great holiday

The villa also boasts a generously sized saltwater pool, positioned just above a charming private beach accessible via a secluded path. Conveniently located on the coastal road, the villa is approximately 2.5 kilometres from Gaios and only 0.5 kilometres from Moggonisi.

This exceptional holiday haven is perfectly suited for a family of up to 6 persons, offering a contemporary and elegant interior that promises privacy, tranquillity, and captivating views of the Ionian Sea. Beach House Sofia spans two levels and showcases vast, sun-drenched terraces, providing an array of options for relaxation and seclusion.

Layout

The ground floor is dedicated to an open-plan space encompassing a living room, dining area, kitchen, and family bathroom. Adjacent to this area, you'll find the master bedroom, a/c, with its own on-suite bathroom/shower and a balcony door. The front of this unique space opens to an astonishing terrace with breathtaking sea views, perched directly above the bay's petite beach.

A wooden staircase gracefully descends to the lower part of the villa, where two a/c twin bedrooms await, each with its en-suite bath and access to a ground-level terrace just a stone's throw from the sea. At the outer portion of this level, two stone staircases lead up to the house's upper floor and front balcony. These terraces, aside from their awe-inspiring views, are furnished for relaxation and dreamy alfresco dining.

Pool and Patios

At the rear of this enviable villa, a spacious outdoor patio features a built-in BBQ, a dining area, and a covered pergola, perfect for those who wish to test their culinary skills while away from home. Beyond the patio, stone steps descend to the private sun-drenched pool, offering not only incredible sea views but also a haven for sunbathing, leisurely reading, or unwinding to the soothing sounds of the nearby beach. A few steps from the pool lead to a small gate that opens directly onto the beach.

Mature gardens envelop the terraces, graced with oleander, rosemary, and jasmine, and adorned with charming hand-built stone walls.

General Information

Gaios is the capital of Paxos Island and the largest port, serving large ferries, hydrofoils and sea taxis from Corfu and Igoumenitsa.

As the largest town on the island, Gaios is relatively small and quaint, with Venetian architecture, a labyrinth of side streets, and pedestrian squares along the seafront. Restaurants and snack bars are scattered throughout the town, catering to all tastes and demands.

The surrounding olive groves offer a high standard of local Greek cuisine, a must-try for every visitor. Local amenities include a post office, banks, a chemist, a doctor's surgery, gift shops, a high school, jewellery and handmade craft shops, as well as supermarkets, bakeries, and butchers.

Gaios has a range of waterfront bars, ranging from quiet traditional coffee places to livelier bars playing a variety of music. Taxis are limited in number, and the bus service is regular, and it enables you to reach the resorts of Loggos and Lakka or smaller neighbourhoods.

Gaios is one of the most popular and cosmopolitan resorts in the Mediterranean. Hundreds of VIPs visit Gaios or reside in their private properties every summer, and finding a place to stay during the peak season can be challenging.

Beautiful property in stunning surroundings! Paxos is the perfect island for a peaceful get away and the villa is a great complement to the island. The host was very welcoming and quick with a response to any queries.
