We just had 10 days at La Casa Del Postino and had a great time. The house is well equipped and spacious with really comfy beds. The large outside space is really handy and it's just a few minutes walk to the shops and the restaurants and the tavernas on the harbour. Kassiopi is ideally placed for exploring the North East of Corfu and is prettier than some of the surrounding villages whilst having everything you could need. It's just 10 minutes drive to the nearest sandy beaches (if you don't like pebbles) and 10 minutes drive to the bigger town of Acharavi for more facilities.

La Casa Del Postino (The Postman’s House) is an eye-catching, recently renovated apartment with a beautiful front balcony and air conditioning. The house is in an advantageous position, a few steps away from the centre of Kassiopi, the local facilities and the beach of Kalamionas.
It is laid out in three levels and is very spacious for a family or party of seven people, in four bedrooms with three bathrooms.

Layout

The street gate leads to the front balcony, the end side of the house, and the main entrance, which opens onto a nicely furnished living room with a spiral wooden staircase.
There is an arch to the left of the living room, which leads to the fully equipped kitchen and further up to a small hall with an external door that opens to the large front balcony on the side of the village’s inner street. Bedrooms are located on both sides of this area with a twin and a double bedroom, sharing shower/WC room.
Going down the lounge's spiral staircase, we land on the basement, which features a single bedroom with a shower / WC room.
On the opposite, we reach the upper level, where nestles the master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, totally remote from the rest of the house.

The Location

La Casa Del Postino is in a privileged location, centrally in the village of Kassiopi, just one step away from public swimming pools, the beach of Kalamionas, or the idyllic harbour with the enchanting boat trips, the boats for rent and the countless tavernas. The use of a car is not essential, as all the facilities are on your doorstep, which will make a simple stay in this charming house into an unforgettable and dreamy holiday.

Location

General Information

Kassiopi is both a village and popular resort on the affluent, reknowned northeast coast of Corfu, 37 km from the Town and the Airport. Historically, a small traditional fishing village, the town itself has evolved with many luxury private villas ATM's, Doctors Surgeries, Internet Cafes and Supermarkets, local Schools and even a Greek Orthodox Church.

Self drive Motorboats, simple and easy to operate, are available daily to weekly, boats with up to 30bhp can be secured with a simple car driving licence. Daily Coach and Boat excursions begin from Kassiopi Harbour and can be booked by local travel agencies running all over the island.

The main road to the North runs through the edge of the town, and a loop takes buses to the village square, approx. 250 yards from the Harbour. There is a local taxi base running 24 hours a day. Both Kassiopi and its surrounding areas are considered very safe at all times of the day, appealing to both couples and families.
Larger Private Villas adorn the hillsides and outskirts of Kassiopi, where simple apartment accommodation can also be found within the town centre.

The resort is lively both day and night and is locally known as the town that never sleeps!
Kassiopi appeals to those looking for life, both nightlife and daytime fun along with those interested in uncovering local history and traditions. Teenagers, families, couples or groups of friends, who are looking for the typical traditional charm of the North East coast, will all be forever content with Kassiopi.

Kalamionas, Bataria, Votana and Avlaki are some of the fabulous nearby beaches, all within walking distance from the village’s centre and pretty Harbour awash with its colourful boats and fishing smacks bobbing upon the crystalline Ionian Sea.
