Villa Mateo – A Peaceful Countryside Retreat in Corfu

Villa Mateo is a beautiful stone-built residence located in a quiet countryside setting near the village of Korakiana in Corfu. Blending traditional Corfiot architecture with modern comforts and a sunny pool (heated on request and at 45.00 euros per day), this elegant two-level villa provides a relaxing and welcoming environment for up to six guests.

The villa features three spacious and bright bedrooms, two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and a comfortable living and dining area. The interiors feature a modern fan coil air-conditioning system and are thoughtfully designed to offer both comfort and functionality.

Access to the property is through an iron gate leading into a lush courtyard with stone-paved paths, a covered terrace, and private parking. The ground floor includes the open-plan kitchen and living area, one double bedroom with garden access, and a modern shower room. A wooden staircase leads to the upper floor, where there is a twin bedroom (convertible to a double if needed), a master bedroom with a private balcony overlooking the countryside, and a modern family shower room.

The outdoor areas are ideal for relaxation and recreation. Guests can enjoy the private swimming pool (4 x 8 m), large sun terrace with loungers, beautifully maintained gardens, and a shaded gazebo with a built-in barbecue and dining area—perfect for outdoor meals and gatherings. (Pool heating can be provided upon request at €45 per day, with a minimum use of 4 consecutive days).

Stone Villa Mateo offers a sense of privacy and tranquillity while being conveniently close to local attractions. Dasia Beach and the lively resort of Ipsos are just a short drive away, offering shops, restaurants, and nightlife.

Whether for families, couples, or groups of friends, Villa Mateo is an ideal choice for a peaceful holiday surrounded by nature, with easy access to the island’s beaches and vibrant coastal life.

Exceptional Stay

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptional Stay at Mateo Stone Villa. Our stay at Mateo Stone Villa was absolutely outstanding and exceeded every expectation. The villa itself is beautiful, impeccably clean, well-maintained, and perfectly located for exploring the stunning island of Corfu. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered, making it feel both luxurious and welcoming. What truly made this experience special, however, was the host. From the moment we arrived, he went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic stay. He is not only incredibly kind, responsive, and professional, but also exceptionally knowledgeable about Corfu. His recommendations for beaches, restaurants, local attractions, and hidden gems were invaluable and helped us experience the island like locals rather than tourists. It is rare to meet a host who genuinely cares about their guests’ experience to this extent. His warmth, hospitality, and willingness to help with anything made us feel completely at home throughout our stay.

wonderful stay

☀️ (EN: We had a wonderful stay in this dream villa. The house is very modern, furnished to a high standard, and exudes a true sense of luxury. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and meticulously thought out. We were particularly impressed by the beautiful pool area – perfect for relaxing and enjoying the outdoors. The spacious garden and stylish outdoor areas also make this accommodation truly special. The villa offers plenty of space, excellent amenities, and a pleasant, tranquil atmosphere. The pictures are absolutely accurate. Our only minor suggestions for improvement are the rather firm mattresses and the fact that the dishes weren't washed at the correct temperature in the dishwasher, requiring some manual intervention. However, both of these are minor issues. We wholeheartedly recommend this accommodation and would return in a heartbeat. Thank you for the wonderful time!)
