Testimonials

Eos were amazing to deal with at all times. So friendly and helpful and very flexible. The villa was amazing and comfortable. It maybe could do with a bit more crockery as we were a group of 8 but that is easily resolved. I would warn any guests that if. walking into town there is quite a climb up and down but there are very good taxi services if you have heavy shopping. It would be useful if eos could put a list of taxis and boat hire nos in the villa.I highly recommend both the villa and cos - thank you

Location

General Information

Paxos or Paxi is the smallest of the Ionian Islands, located only seven miles south of Corfu and eight miles from the Greek mainland coasts. The population does not exceed 2300 inhabitants.
Paxos is considered one of the top twenty greatest escapes of the world. Charmingly beautiful, unforgettable memories are certainly made here!
The islands timeless beauty, with its turquoise iridescent waters, the picturesque villages, the imposing cliffs sheltering littoral caves and the amazing beaches will place Paxos firmly in your most wanted list.
The Island's capital is Gaios, nestling in a fjord, which is created by the two small islets: Panagia and Agios Nikolaos.
Paxos is reachable only by sea and there are frequent crossings to/from Corfu daily, or Igoumenitsa the largest port on the Greek Mainland.
Adjacent to Paxos is the smaller island of Antipaxos, famous for its' pristine Brika and Boutoumi beaches, also for its vineyards, producing exceptional red wine.
Paxos is offering lush green countryside, enchanting beaches and quaint villages on the eastern side, amazingimposing caves, arches and sheer cliffs on the west coast.
The island, only 7 X 3 miles, can easily be explored by foot, bike, car or boat.
Sea taxis, small boats and caiques are available from the harbour front of Gaiostais Main Port, to the island of Anti-Paxos, or the famous littoral caves with the iridescent turquoise waters.

Gaios

Gaios is an idyllic port spreading out along the waterfront. Entering Gaios from a northerly or southerly direction you will be passing two small islets, the first one at the mouth of the harbour, called Panagia, with a beautiful monastery on its top.
The second one, Agios Nikolaos, forms a natural breakwater that leads to the delightfully picturesque inlet of Gaios harbour. On Agios Nikolaos islet there are two small churches (St Nicholas and St Ioannis) and an old Venetian fortress, built-in 1423, which was protecting the place throughout the ancient years.
Gaios harbour and the approaching inlet is considered totally safe for an overnight mooring for all types of boats. Water and fuel vehicles patrol daily. Payment for mooring can be obtained from the Port Authorities.

Lakka

Lakka is the northern harbour of Paxos, set in a horseshoe-shaped Bay flanked by higher ground covered by olive and cypresses trees. The bay, which is sheltered from the open sea, is ideal for swimming, water sports and boat mooring. Eating out you are totally spoilt for choice, with an abundance of bars and tavernas offering a wide choice of tasty traditional  Greek and Paxiot food. There is an excellent taxi service both by road and sea leading to other parts of the Island, and Lakka is reached by the main bus route.

Loggos

Loggos is a small fishing village on the east coast of Paxos very close to Lakka. Tavernas and bars surround the harbour. There are three mini-markets and a local bakery where a wide selection of products including fresh fruit and vegetables, are brought in from the mainland regularly. Loggos is on the main bus route and is well serviced by the local taxi services.

Antipaxos island

There are two main beaches at the north end of Anti Paxos called Vrika and Voutoumi. The shoreline of Vrika beach is sandy, Voutoumis shoreline is pebbly with sparkling pure white sand. Some of the finest clear blue seas in the world invite you to swim and snorkel at your leisure and is totally safe for all ages to relish. South of these two beaches are a few smaller ones with more personalised coves, easily reachable.
Antipaxos is approx. 2 kilometres south of Paxos and it is almost uninhabited, with many small vineyards which are tended to by Paxiot families. Traditional Anti Paxos wine can be bought in the local shops in Paxos or can be sampled in the tavernas on Anti-Paxos and Paxos. Excursion boats from Paxos to Anti Paxos run frequently during the summer weather permitting.

Perfect Holiday

The view from the villa is stunning, looking down on to Lakka harbour, you could literally sit there all day and watch the comings and goings of the boats. The pool area is lovely and kept very clean, there is also a shower. The villa accommodation is for six people four in the upper part and two in the separate part which is down the outside steps and to the left of the owners accommodation. It was perfect as my son and his girlfriend had there privacy and could come and go without disturbing anyone. The owners Andreas and Maria are lovely, very friendly but not intrusive at all. The villa is kept clean and the towels and bed linen are changed regularly. The accommodation is rustic greek, but very comfortable and spacious. There are two lots of steps down to the pool area, my dad who has slight mobility problems managed fine on the less steep ones. The walk down in to Lakka takes about 10 to 15 minutes, you can also walk down the footpath to Harami beach in about 10 minutes, the path brings you right into the bar.We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend it and hopefully we will be back at some point in the future.

Amazing Stay

Amazing stay. Liked: Well the view says everything!!!! What a location. Loved the villa, a little big for us only being a couple but would be ideal for a family with older children as they could have their own little studio section on the ground floor. The pool and view are the best.
